Community Service
Research and Community Service (PkM) are two implementation activities of the Tridharma of Higher Education which must be carried out by lecturers in addition to educational, teaching and other supporting activities. Lecturers have obligations inherent in their main duties and functions to carry out research and PkM as a lecturer workload (BKD). Research topics and PkM lecturers in the Biology Education Study Program FKIP UNMUL vary widely according to the scientific background and field of study of interest. In addition, lecturers in the Biology Education Study Program FKIP UNMUL have also formed research groups (Research Groups) that have the potential to develop superior research in the Biology Education Study Program FKIP UNMUL. Therefore, the Study Program needs to develop a Research Roadmap and PkM that can cover the superior research of lecturers in accordance with their areas of expertise and competence. The Study Program Research and Community Service (PkM) Roadmap is the policy direction for research management and PkM in the Biology Education Study Program FKIP UNMUL for the next 4 years, namely 2021–2024. The areas of research focus in the research and PkM Roadmap compiled are based on the Master Plan for Development of Research Innovation and Community Service (RIPI-P2M) of Mulawarman University for 2019–2024, Main Scientific Pattern (PIP) of Mulawarman University, namely humid tropical forests and their environment, and FKIP UNMUL Roadmap. This research and PkM roadmap will serve as a reference for the development of lecturer and student research topics related to educational issues both in the East Kalimantan Province and at the national level, in order to support and accelerate the improvement of research quality and achievement of targets set in the FKIP UNMUL strategic plan for 2016– 2024.
